Who We Are

The Placer County Democratic Party (PCDP), also known interchangeably as the Placer County Democratic Central Committee (PCDCC), is responsible under state law for overseeing the Party’s local activities and campaigns. We coordinate closely with the California Democratic Party.

The PCDCC consists of members elected from each of the county’s Supervisorial Districts, as well as the Democratic nominees for Congress, State Senate, Assembly, and State Constitutional office. Members are elected every two years on the party’s primary ballot, and interim vacancies are filled by appointment through a vote of the current membership.

All PCDCC members serve as volunteers, and all party funding is provided solely through donations.

What We Do

The PCDCC coordinates the party’s activities throughout the county, making endorsements, organizing events and directing resources to support local, state, and national candidates and initiatives.

Where We Meet

The PCDCC meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom.

Any Democrat is welcome to join as a guest. Contact us to request Zoom info to join a meeting.
