Our Standing Committees do the work of the Placer County Democratic Central Committee. They are comprised of members of our Central Committee as well as members of our community.

Central Committee Officers
The Executive Board of the Central Committee is made up of the Chair, First Vice-Chair, Second Vice-Chair, Secretary, Controller, and the chair or designee of all standing committees. Executive Board members serve two-year terms and are elected at Organization meetings in even-numbered years.
The Officers of the Central Committee are: Chair, First Vice-Chair, Second Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Controller.

Julann lives and works in Auburn, where she and her husband, Ken, raised their two sons. Her eight years of service on the Auburn Union School Board reflect a deep and enduring commitment to public education and community advocacy.
Since 2023, she has been an active member of the Placer County Democratic Central Committee, representing constituents of Supervisorial District 5, from 2024 to 2026 she chaired the Candidate Development Committee, helping cultivate strong Democratic leadership across the county.

While Jacob had occasionally dabbled in progressive activism in his early adulthood, his activism has grown substantially in recent years. He joined the Placer County Democratic Central Committee in April of 2024. He currently resides in Rocklin representing Democratic constituents of the 3rd Supervisorial District and has been a resident of Placer county for more than 15 years. Jacob is also Chair of Placer Action Network, a chartered Democratic club.

Ruth also serves as the President of the Democratic Club of Lincoln, the Placer County Democratic Party’s largest chartered Democratic Club. Ruth lives in Lincoln and represent Democratic constituents of the 3rd Supervisorial District.

Jan holds a Master of Public Administration degree, is a Veteran of the US Air Force and US Air Force Reserve. She is currently retired from US Civil Service. Jan represents Democratic constituents of the 4th Supervisorial District.

Charlie represents Democratic constituents in the 5th Supervisorial District
Central Committee Members
Central Committee members are elected by the Democratic Voters (You!) of Placer County. They serve four-year terms and are elected in the primary election of Presidential election years. Any vacancies are made by appointment by the Central Committee.
