YOUTH ENGAGEMENT
THE FUTURE OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY
BELONGS TO YOU
The Placer County Democratic Party encourages our youth and young adults to engage and join the Democratic Party to make their voice heard.
“What if we didn’t suck?”

“I am sick of waiting around for someone to do something,” she said. All around the country young people are stepping up in various ways - from running for office to community organizing to advocacy.
Fight for your rights
Penelope Oliver, 18 year old human rights and peace activist and a founder of All Access Arts, a nonprofit working to provide youth with access to the arts, fights for “everything justice” - from housing justice, economic justice, climate justice, gender justice, educational equity, voting rights, mental health, animal rights, human rights, and more.

The Work has Only Just Begun
“I am young, despite my best efforts to grow older. I am Muslim. I am a democratic socialist. And most damning of all, I refuse to apologize for any of this,” said Zohran Mamdani in his victory speech after being elected Mayor of New York City.
The next generation of leaders is here and they are making it known that they are ready to truly roll up their sleeves and make the government work for working class people.
