Please join us on Monday, October 12th, 6:30 pm, at Presentation Hall in the Kilaga Springs Lodge for a screening of "Moms Club," an eye opening documentary about how our local school boards can become ground zero for much bigger political battles.
"Moms Club" reveals how well-funded Christian nationalist groups - including the Heritage Foundation, Kock network, and DeVos family - can bring national political battles into small communities, fueling conflicts over LGBTQ+ rights, race, books and public education.
After the screening, there will be Q&A with the film's director and several of the Moms who championed the cause to keep extremism out of their school systems.
The United for ALL Students Coalition endorsed candidates for the Western Placer Unified School District board - A. Marioni, L. Cox, and M. Roskiewicz - will be present to discuss how they will lead our school system to prioritize students and teachers, not culture war issues.
"Moms Club" tells a powerful story about democracy, inclusion and community - and the future of our children. You don't want to miss this event!
