Program Structure & Timeline
Duration: 8 Weeks (June 1, 2026 – July 31, 2026).
Capacity:
Commitment: 7.5 hours per week (60 hours total).
Format: Hybrid (Weekly Google Meet cohort meetings + in-person field actions)
Eligibility Requirements:
Must reside within Placer County or attend a school located within the county.
Must be currently enrolled as a high school, undergraduate, or trade school student
Must be 16-25 years old.
Criteria:
Must demonstrate the ability to commit to a 60-hour total project-based summer schedule (June 1–July 31).
Candidates must have a strong interest in grassroots organizing, digital media, or community advocacy. No prior political experience is required—we are looking for passion and a willingness to learn.
Timeline:
Open applications: April 13, 2026
Application window closes: May 1, 2026
Applicant interviews: May 4 - 14, 2026
Deliberations: May 15-17, 2026
Selection: May 18, 2026
Begin: June 1, 2026

How we select:
Responses will be reviewed by the PlacerBlue Fellowship Organizing Committee and graded on a selection rubric.
Applicants will be called for 15 minute Zoom interviews to ensure a good fit.
