Western Placer United for All Students launches Coalition
WESTERN PLACER UNITED FOR ALL STUDENTS LAUNCHES COALITION
Over 60 people, including students, attended the initial Western Placer United for all Students School Board Coalition meeting. Students are integral to this coalition and were recognized for their commitment and drive in its success. As part of the program, participants viewed the results of the recent school district’s parent/student survey, followed by an opportunity for everyone to voice their opinion on the top priorities for the school board to address.
Western Placer Unified School District (WPUSD) is based in the City of Lincoln. It operates 14 public schools serving 7,593 students, composed of seven elementary schools, two middle schools, and two high schools. To enhance educational outcomes and community engagement, the coalition focuses heavily on collaboration. Schools don’t exist in a vacuum. Our community coalition consists of parents, educators, students, and concerned citizens who support school board candidates that place the needs of students first.
There are three school board seats up for the WPUSD election this November. Community coalitions had a 100% success rate in getting their school board candidates elected in the '24 election cycle. We’re aiming for those same incredible results in ‘26! We need your support to elect candidates whose absolute top priority is providing a quality education to all students across Placer County,
